How to Add a New Item in Xero and Import it in WMS

Step 1: Add a New Item in Xero

Follow these steps to add a new product or service in Xero:

  • Head to your Xero dashboard.

  • Click on the Business tab in the navigation bar.

  • Select Products and Services.

  • Click on the New Item button in the top right corner.

  • Enter the item number in the Code field.

  • Enter the item name in the Name field.

  • Enter the cost price for the item in the Cost Price field.

  • Click on the Purchase Account drop-down to select the appropriate account for the purchase.

  • Choose the tax rate from the drop-down.

  • Enter the sale price for the item in the Sale Price field.

  • Select a sales account from the Sales Account drop-down menu.

  • Select the tax rate from the drop-down.

  • Click the Save button to save and create the new item.

Step 2: Import the Item in WMS

Once the item is created in Xero, follow these steps to import it into WMS:

  • Head back to the WMS.

  • Navigate to the Tools menu in the navigation bar.

  • Select Connect.

  • Click on Replicate from Accounting.

  • Click on the Express button to update records quickly.

  • Once the replication process is complete, you can start searching for the item you just created.
